They are made of wound steel memory wire covered with black plastic tubing.

They measure 45cm long which is about 18in, and they are 1mm in width. The width of the unscrewed metal end is about 3mm in diameter, so it will fit most bails (it will not however fit our flower bails or our small silver plated bails as they are tiny!)
